I am the proud mother of 2 beautiful grown up children, a son and a daughter who have been the joy of my life.
Originally from the south of Chile in South America ; I immigrated to Australia in 1983 to start a new life and family in Sydney learning to speak English along the way.
I spent 31 years working in the Biological Sciences Department at the UNSW as a Professional Officer.
Now I spend my time helping others, something that has always been a passion and big part of my life.
After being involved in the education sector for 31 years I came to understand that there was a real need for support for students that they didn't receive through the system in place at many institutions.
I began finding myself in conversations that I didn't have the tools to adequately respond to. My nature as a carer brought these people to my door, but all I could really do was listen.
I decided that I had the capacity to do more for them... I just needed to known how to do that effectively. So I enrolled in what was the first of many courses to equip myself with the skills to help change lives for the better,
Life is a journey... the path in front more often than not leads towards an obstacle...
My Place in the Journey of Others is to help them overcome those obstacles, by giving them the skills, knowledge and understanding that they need to be the most successful self that they can be.
